Global Window Films is now Global Hi-Tech Films, and it names its parent
The old web address redirects, the old spec sheet is gone, and the company says it's a Garware Hi-Tech Films subsidiary.
- The change
- Logged here
globalwindowfilms.com now redirects to globalhitechfilms.com. On its About page the company calls itself "a subsidiary of Garware Hi-Tech films" and "a trusted manufacturer for some of the top brands in the US, European, and other global markets."
That second line matters for who makes what. Global says it makes film for other brands but doesn't name them, so no brand is drawn under Global on the ownership chart.
The spec sheet the database used to cite is gone. Global's current automotive shade card gives heat rejection (TSER) for every shade, but it doesn't state the glass, the test method or how infrared is measured.
What we updated on Mr. Window Tint
- Global's listing now reads Global Hi-Tech Films, a subsidiary of Garware Hi-Tech Films.
- IR Extreme Plus was added from the shade card and IR Supreme, which isn't on it, was removed. Global grades C+ because the card gives no test basis.
