About Mr. Window Tint
Mr. Window Tint is the name I use when I talk about this trade in public. I've been in window film for nearly four decades. I've installed it, sold it and built businesses around it.
Over that time the spec sheets got louder and harder to check, and the people paying for film, from drivers to shop owners, got less of a straight answer. This site is my answer. It helps drivers choose without getting upsold, gives tinters the numbers with the conditions attached, helps manufacturers see their film from the installer's side, and puts the trade in front of audiences who don't know it yet.
How I keep it honest
- Nobody pays for placement. Evidence levels come from what manufacturers publish, and the math is on every row.
- Nearly four decades in this trade have built relationships with most of the manufacturers on this site. That history is why I know where to look, and none of it moves a grade.
- I own MobileTinter, an installer booking service. If you book through it, I may make money.
- I may sell film to installers someday. That won't change a grade either.
- I consult for manufacturers. Clients are marked wherever their film appears here.
- Paid speaking and sponsored appearances are disclosed.
