ORAFOL buys Maxpro Window Films

A German film group takes over the North Carolina factory that openly makes window film for other brands.

On May 21, 2026, the ORAFOL Group announced that it had acquired Maxpro Manufacturing, LLC of Whiteville, North Carolina, and added it to ORAFOL's new Functional Films business unit. Maxpro's own release a week later says it "has joined the ORAFOL Group" and keeps operating as Maxpro Window Films.

Maxpro matters on the who-makes-what chart because it is one of the few US factories that says publicly it runs private-label accounts. Its customers aren't named, and the acquisition doesn't change that. What changes is who owns the factory behind those private-label films.

ORAFOL has been building a film business on two continents: it took a stake in Belgium's Group M.A.M., a solar-control film company, in 2024 and announced full ownership in September 2026.
